RAPP (Residents Against Power Pollution) was formed in May 2008 at a public meeting attended by over 500 people, called to oppose plans for a $110 million diesel fuelled peaking power plant, just north of the Kew sewage treatment plant, 24km south-west of Port Macquarie proposed by International Power Australia.

Canal Estate Development

The Camden Haven Protection Society was formed at a public meeting attended by 190 people at the Laurieton School of Arts and called by the Dunbogan Advancement League. The meeting’s main concern was the proposed 600 lot canal estate development at Dunbogan by Jimneva Properties.
