Friends of Kattang Nature Reserve
The headland was originally proposed as a Nature Reserve by the Save The Headland Action Group (SHAGS) in 1977 who prepared a study and submission to National Parks and Wildlife Service for its dedication. The Reserve was dedicated on 23 November 1983.
